About My Art
I use weathered windows that were bound for landfills as my canvas. I bring these windows back to life with my whimsical works of art created on the front and back of the glass. You need tons of patience when painting on glass. Layers of paint are added slowly. The first layer has to be completely dry before applying more paint. I place
discarded jewelry and buttons on
my artwork for extra sparkle.
The end result is truly a one of a
kind mixed media art piece.
I also create vibrant oil pastel paintings. When the painting is completed, I then frame the art work in a refinished vintage window or frame surrounded by whimsical fabrics. This new addition to my portfolio has been a hit with my clients.
My pieces are bright and cheerful. Clients tell me that my art makes them smile, and that is exactly what I am trying to achieve.

My Biography
I have known since second grade that art was my passion. Painting and drawing was the one thing I loved to do most and still is.
I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in Studio Art and then went on to receive a BFA from The Illinois Institute of Art in Interior Design.
I have been painting murals since the age of 16. Ten years later, I entered my hand painted windows into art fairs. I became known as a recycled artist and won several art competitions. My works of art can be seen around the Chicagoland area in many retail/gallery shops and in residential homes.
I had my own art studio/gallery for almost 2 years. I taught all ages how to paint on anything from canvas to tiles to windows and more. I taught children and adults all sorts of medias from acrylics and watercolors, to pastels and mosaics.
I am always searching for new ideas to keep my works of art exciting and fresh.
